College Student Athletic Trainer of the Year

This award and scholarship will be given to two individuals at the winter meeting In Phoenix. A nomination letter from a supervising athletic trainer should include information on the individual’s work ethic, leadership qualities, academic achievements, character, experience and competency as a student athletic trainer, as well as any other information, which you would consider to be relevant to this nomination. The student should submit transcripts and an essay on what the athletic training profession means to them.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a member of the AZATA
  • Student essay as per paragraph above
  • Submission of transcripts
  • College or university student athletic trainer for at least two years
  • Recommended by supervising certified athletic trainer.
  • At least one letter of recommendation from coach, administrator or physician.
  • Completed and submitted nomination form before the December 20 deadline.
